Mercedes-Benz CLS by Vitt Auto

Bangkok-based styling company Vitt Auto has created a thoroughly horrendous aero package for the Mercedes-Benz CLS.

Named the Squalo (Italian for shark…), the angular kit includes an aggressive front fascia with large air intakes and LED daytime running lights, vented wheel arch extensions, side skirts – complete with gill effects, scooped rear door blisters and a replacement rear bumper with colossal diffuser and mesh sections. Prices for the body program start at around € 11,600, with that equally unsubtle bootlid wing weighing in at € 1,350.

Vitt also carries a large range of wheels from various manufacturers, but the rims shown here are its very own black/polished Judge items in a 20-inch diameter.

BMW M ‘Cake’ commercial [video]

Here’s a new ad from BMW highlighting the benefits of owning a vehicle from its M GmbH division. The title refers to that old ‘having your cake and eating it’ idiomatic proverb, pointing out that the company can produce high-performance cars that don’t have a drinking problem. Personally, we can’t imagine too many M3 GTS owners taking to the track – while keeping an eye on fuel consumption figures…

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport almost crashes at Prescott [video]

Neil Bolton managed to catch this Bugatti Veyron mishap at last month’s Prescott round of the British Speed Hill Climb Championship – which is more than the driver did. The Grand Sport model was in attendance, completing a number of demonstration runs for the audience when it spun out after developing a fault with its rear spoiler, which usually doubles as an airbrake. The latter part of the video offers a glimpse of the awesome acceleration that this car can achieve.

Porsche Cayenne Vantage 2 Lemon by TopCar

Russian tuning specialist TopCar has released details of its Vantage 2 Lemon project based on the Porsche Cayenne (958).

Built for a (colour blind) customer in Europe, the Cayenne wears the company’s Vantage 2 aero package, which consists of modified bumpers, wide wheel arch extensions, side skirts, a tailgate spoiler and an aggressive replacement hood.

Finished largely in the citrus colour providing the car’s name, elements such as the side window frames, bumper and side skirt inserts, hood vents, mirror casings, spoilers and brake calipers have been painted Pearl Lime.

Inside the cabin, TopCar has reupholstered the seats in black perforated leather with lime piping, with the floor mats and dashboard finished in a similar theme.

Misha Designs Porsche 997

Our friends over at California-based body styling specialist Misha Designs have created a couple of components for Porsche 997 owners wanting a little change.

Available for 997 and 997.2 models, there’s the GTM deep spoiler that attaches to the underside of your front bumper and the bolt-on GT2M rear wing with integrated air ducts. Similar to the 997 GT2 factory item, it can be specified with either a FRP (fibre reinforced plastic) lip or clear-coated carbon fibre.

Porsche 911 Club Coupe

Porsche has wasted virtually no time in creating a special edition of its latest 911 model, with this Club Coupe.

Built to mark sixty years since the Westfälischer Porsche Club Hohensyburg – now known as the Porsche Club Westfalen – was founded, just 13 models will be built in honour of the number of original members, but one will remain at Porsche. That means a mere 12 out of the 181,000 members spread throughout 75 countries will get to own one, with Porsche allowing potential owners to register their interest via a lottery format.

Based on the Carrera S model, the 911 Club Coupe benefits from the company’s powerkit, offering a 22 kW (30 hp) hike in power, while other standard fare includes Brewster Green paintwork, 20 mm lower suspension, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), PDK, colour-coded 20-inch SportTechno wheels and the Sport Design Package, consisting of a distinctive front spoiler and a “duck tail” rear spoiler. Inside, the dashboard panel strip will read “911 Club Coupe – personally built for” along with the recipient’s name, while the seats will be trimmed in Espresso leather with Luxor Beige stitching. There is also black dials, the aluminum brushed interior package and a BOSE 680 Surround Sound-System.

Prices (excl. taxes) will start at € 142,831 in Germany and $ 175,580 in the USA.
