JEREZ, Spain - A BMW Sauber mechanic suffered injuries after receiving an electric shock while testing a new hybrid engine system. The were running an F1.07C equipped with the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) in an official test for the first time.

BMW Group products are officially the cleanest premium cars following independent, industry-wide research into CO2 emissions. The data, compiled by www.cleangreencars.co.uk, also shows that, through its EfficientDynamics programme, the BMW brand has the most improved average CO2 emissions of any premium manufacturer.

After 30 years, the BMW M1 Procar Series made its comeback to the circuit today, Saturday, with a host of big names and a host of fun. Ten celebrity-manned examples of the close to 500 hp mid-engined racers delivered the first of two show races on the Hockenheimring as part of the support programme of the German Formula One Grand Prix.

BMW is releasing a racing version of the latest generation of its impressive M3 sports car. After one year development time, the BMW M3 designed specifically for motor racing has completed its first moments on the track. The 485bhp Race Version is clothed in a carbon-reinforced plastic body - helping it to weigh around the same as a Big Mac - and medium fries. Full press release below.

Munich/Hinwil. The excitement is building at the BMW Sauber F1 Team ahead of its home GP at Hockenheim on 20th July. The team has conducted three days of testing at the circuit in the state of Baden-Württemberg in preparation for the race.

A unique vehicle presentation on Red Square in Moscow (Russia) on 8 July 2008 marked the start for the BMW Group of the countdown for the European market launch of the new BMW 7 Series in the autumn of this year. With the motto “Never stand still”, the world’s most successful provider of premium segment automobiles had an hourglass almost twelve metres high built against the historic backdrop of St Basil’s Cathedral and the Kremlin. With the largest hourglass in the world, BMW impressively presented its new flagship to around 400 international guests and Moscow citizens.
