According to witnesses, A pair of racing supercars were achieving speeds of up to 130 mph - even through 50mph roadworks zones on the M27. The Bugatti Veyron driver was eventually caught, but the owner of Ferrari 599 GTB managed to disappear off into the distance. A lack of rear license plate helped the driver to escape a conviction.
The racing version of the new Volkswagen Scirocco has successfully taken its first hurdle. Hans-Joachim Stuck (A), Dieter Depping (D), Francois Verbist (B) and Thomas Mutsch (D) completed a comprehensive endurance test with the 300-hp Scirocco at the Motorsport Arena at Oschersleben.

Auto Express has revealed a few more details regarding Bugatti’s forthcoming targa-topped Veyron. It didn’t take rocket science to figure out that the chassis would need beefing up to make up for the lack of rigidity brought about by the original roof’s removal. Webasto (the people responsible for Volkswagen’s Eos roof) are developing the removable glass roof section to fill the void.
At a media conference on press day at the Beijing Motor Show Dr. Franz-Josef Paefgen, President of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. , officially declared Bugatti’s entry into the Chines market. “We are delighted to be here”, said Dr. Paefgen. “It is a historic moment for the legendary Bugatti brand: it is the first time that Bugatti presents a car in mainland China.”
Following on from the bare-bodied Bugatti Veyron ‘Pur Sang’ spotted in Abu Dhabi, here’s a second example. Seen parking up next to a McLaren F1 at a show in the States, they don’t get much rarer than this, as just five will be produced by the Volkswagen-owned company.
You may remember a while back, we told you about a possible Veyron targa from Bugatti? Well, according to a guy in the know, it’s going to happen - by next year. Bugatti’s Georges Keller confirmed that the company is working on a ‘convertible’ model.

Bugatti is set to increase production of its Veyron from 85 to 90 units per year. To achieve their targets, the company is considering slicing the summer break from three weeks to just one. The final production figure will remain at 300 cars.
Two years after the first Bugatti Veyron 16.4 was delivered to the first customer, Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. has delivered 135 cars to proud owners all over the world. The company has - year to date - received 220 confirmed orders for this unique super-sportscar in the space of only two years. And the orders continue to come in at an extremely satisfactory level.
A few months ago Racer X Design released the sketches of the KC-427, which is currently being built and expected to be shown as a fully built car by the end of the year. The streamliner is not intended for production, and is just one of the many designs that Racer X Design have come up with.
