According to the guys at Cartribe; this is the forthcoming Porsche Cayman S Sport. Apart from the 997 GT3 RS-inspired appearance you get a whopping 10mm suspension drop along with an eye watering 8bhp increase to 303bhp. Porsche Active Stability Management also makes it onto the model. Price is rumoured to be around £49,890.
TECHART Automobildesign GmbH presents its cutting-edge TECHART GTstreet RS, based on the Porsche 911 GT2 (997), with an impressive best time of 1.06:811 minutes on the short course of the Hockenheim circuit.
Hot on the heels of the newly facelifted 997 range; Porsche is already working on its replacement - the 998. The meaty arch extensions hint at a slightly wider track for the new model, while the rear wing is also a makeshift item. Rumours suggest that lightweight materials may be utilized. Autoblog reckon it’ll be here by 2010, but we think that’s a little optimistic. Time will tell.

Apparently, this 1997 Porsche 911 Turbo ‘S’ is the only one ever produced in the unique Blue Turquoise colour. The car was a special order by Porsche fanatic Jerry Seinfeld. The obscenely wealthy funny man put a mere 7,839 miles on the car before selling it on in 2005.

Pot-bellied Yorkshireman Jezza Clarkson has had his hands on the ferocious Porsche 997 GT2. The 530bhp beast hits 60mph in just 3.7s before going on to a 204mph top speed, but that’s not enough to impress the man from the BBC…
“Think of it as a carbon fibre fishing rod. It will make you look serious and keen among your peers. But one day, you’re going to snag it on an overhead power line. And as you lie in hospital afterwards, with no face and melted feet, you’re going to wish you’d stuck with a bamboo cane and a piece of string.”
Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, will launch the next generation of the 911 range in the salesrooms of the 85 German Porsche centers next Saturday, July 5, 2008. The car was first presented to more than 800 journalists from around the world a month ago at the Development Center in Weissach and at the Schloss Monrepos near Ludwigsburg, where particularly its new transmission technology drew excellent reviews.
When renowned California-based automotive marketing and product-consulting firm AutoPacific surveyed over 33,500 new car owners, the full line of 2008 Porsche sports cars topped the field in the Premium Sports Car segment, and Porsche ranked as the Ideal Premium Brand for 2008 ahead of brands like Jaguar, Buick, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Land Rover among others.
