Ingolstadt, March 18, 2010 – The 2010 DTM season that will start at the Hockenheimring on April 25, 2010 is marked by maximum efficiency: Audi will compete with the known model generations of the Audi A4 DTM and is expecting a potential to reduce the fielding cost by more than 30 percent without the sport losing any of its attractiveness to fans, media, drivers and teams. The freeze on the technical development of all DTM vehicles has enabled this step.

Ingolstadt, March 15, 2010 – Audi will fight for victory in the Le Mans 24 Hours on June 12/13 with an evolution of the R15 TDI diesel race sports car. An extensive testing program with the revised LMP1 vehicle has just begun in the United States.

In his maiden drive for Ferrari, Fernando Alonso led team-mate Felipe Massa to a one-two finish at today’s Bahrain Grand Prix. Red Bull’s Vettel had led from pole, but exhaust problems saw him slip back to fourth place, behind the McLaren of Lewis Hamilton.

Fifth and sixth places belonged to the Mercedes GP cars of Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher, closely followed by current champion Jenson Button. Full results and standings below.

Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel took pole for tomorrow’s Bahrain Grand Prix, beating the Ferrari duo of Massa and Alonso. McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton grabbed fourth spot on the grid with his new team-mate, World Champion Jenson Button only managing eighth. ‘New boy’ Michael Schumacher placed his Mercedes GP car one place in front of Button – but two places behind team-mate Nico Rosberg. Ingolstadt, March 11, 2010 – Exactly 183 days will have passed between the 2009 DTM finale and the 2010 season opener at the Hockenheimring (April 24) – this equates to just about half a year, which is an extremely long break for a sportsman. But as the example of Martin Tomczyk who is tackling his tenth DTM season in 2010 shows the winter season was anything but boring for the Audi “factory” drivers.

Ingolstadt, March 8, 2010 – With the delivery of the first customer cars, Audi AG’S GT3 customer sport program has reached the next phase. By mid-April, 20 Audi R8 LMS vehicles will have been handed over to the teams that are planning to run the GT3 race sports car in various national and international racing series and in the two 24-hour races at the Nürburging and at Spa-Francorchamps in the 2010 season.
