Audi A6 Le Mans

Audi will be producing a limited edition A6 3.0 TDI quattro to commemorate their Le Mans victory with the diesel powered R10.
The Ingolstadt company will be making just 1000 versions of the Le Mans edition, with them rolling into our showrooms by September. Unfortunately for America and most of Europe, the car will only be available in right hand drive.
The Le Mans edition is based on the S-Line version of the 3.0 TDI quattro and sees the addition of metallic or pearl-effect paint, a luxury pack that consists of full leather trim, heated front seats, rear acoustic parking system. The car sits on a set of 19-inch seven-arm double-spoke alloy wheels (looking like they were stolen from the RS4).
The 3L V6 TDI produces 233 bhp equalling a 6.9 second gallop to 60 mph and onto a top speed of 153 mph.
The 650 bhp R10 Le Mans car gives us a glimpse of things to come in the diesel world. Ulrich Baretzky, Head of Engine Technology at Audi Sport, recently stated “We are still relatively close to the findings of our colleagues from production since we are breaking completely new ground in motorsport. However, this will change. I believe to be able to share the things that we developed specifically for motorsport with production in the future.”
