Veyron Targa By 2009

Bugatti are planning to launch a targa version of their Veyron in 2009.
The targa will be assembled alongside the existing coupe version of the Veyron at Bugatti’s factory in France.
Webasto (the people responsible for Volkswagen’s Eos roof) are developing a glass roof section. The laminated panel will be too big to store in the targa, so a fabric clip-on roof will be supplied incase owners get caught out in a shower.
With the extra strengthening needed for the targa, comes extra weight. This will be cancelled out by way of a carbon fibre bonnet and doors. Another addition will be headlights that swivel in the direction that the car is turning. This feature will be added to all future Veyron models.
The altered aerodynamics of the targa, means the top speed will be down by 35 mph, to a ‘snail-like’ 217 mph (compared to the Koenigsegg CCR’s 240+ mph)
No photos are available at the moment, so this is my attempt at one (it’s better if you squint).
Just when you thought you were running out of things to spend your money on, Bugatti comes to the rescue!

Wonder how long before David Beckham gets one of those bad boys. Definately a footballers car. Definately not one for the toupe wearers.

Yeah, I think he’s already got a coupe version. Might as well have the targa to complete the set.

Bugatti has finally outdone itself. I would be happy just to sit in one of these 2009 Veyrons, Beautiful & fast just dosen’t do it justice.
