As we eagerly await Porsche’s return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans with its 919 Hybrid LMP1 car, the company has released this video of Jacky Ickx discussing the iconic Porsche 936.
A true giant of the sport, Ickx was victorious in 1976, 1977 and 1981 driving a Porsche 936 before returning to win again the following year in a 956. Here he reflects on a car with which he shares his meritorious status, and looks forward to Porsche’s return to endurance racing next year.
