Wettstetten-based tuning specialist MTM has released a few details and images of its Polo R WRC Street as it sets off for the Essen Motor Show (November 30 to December 8).
Already developing 162 kW (217 hp) from its 2.0 TSI in series guise, MTM’s upgrade sees that figure jump to 235 kW (315 hp), enough to reduce the 0-100 km/h time from 6.4 to just over 4.0 seconds, with top speed now 260 km/h instead of 243 km/h. The company also confirmed that a 283 kW (380 hp) package will be available very soon.
Other hardware on offer includes a Clubsport suspension kit with KW shock absorbers, a big brake conversion using four-piston fixed calipers, and MTM’s Nardo alloy wheels, which measure 8 x 18-inches and wear 215/35 Continental ContiSportContact 5P tyres.
