BMW M5 Ring-Taxis in action

Here’s a piece of film from SWS showing a pair of BMW M5 Ring-Taxis drifting around the fabled Nurburgring.

Since 1986, the BMW Ring-Taxi has carried more than 90,000 passengers and clocked in excess of 650,000 kilometres over the course of more than 30,000 laps.

In its current incarnation, the M5 is propelled by a 4.4-litre biturbo V8 powerplant developing 418 kW (560 hp) and 680 Nm of torque or 423 kW (575 hp) with the Competition Package specified.
