Project Madonna
Here is – what is claimed to be – the world’s fastest Volkswagen Jetta running a TSI engine.

Owned by Patrick Soares, and put together with the assistance of USP Motorsports, Precision Turbo & Engine and APR, the 2012 Jetta GLI 2.0 TSI has been reworked to produce 554 whp, enough to propel the car to a 10.99 run @ 129 mph.

That’s an insane amount of power, especially for a front-wheel drive car. If you were thinking of going down a similar route, here’s Patrick’s tip for driving in a straight line: “Start in at least 3rd, full throttle, turn steering wheel to the left, hold on and hope for the best.”
