Volkswagen has added a pair of special edition up! versions to its range, with the introduction of the Groove up! and Rock up!.
Both use the top-specification High up! model as a base with the Groove up!, which is available in three and five-door variants, gaining a Fender sound system with a 300-Watt amplifier, six speakers and a subwoofer. Other standard features include 16-inch Upsilon alloy wheels and gloss black mirror casings, while the interior gets seats in black with orange edging, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, handbrake and gear lever gaiter with orange stitching.
The Rock up!, which can only be specified as a three-door model, focuses around styling, with an anthracite stripe running the length of the car, a gloss black front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser, rear spoiler and 16-inch Upsilon wheels. Once again the mirror casings are gloss black, except on Deep Black Pearl vehicles, which get chrome items. Inside the cabin customers have a choice of black or grey seats.
Fitted with a 55 kW (75 hp) petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission, both cars benefit for the usual High up! fare, including the Maps & More infotainment system air conditioning, heated front seats and remote central locking.
Groove up! pricing starts at £11,640 for the three-door and £12,015 for the five-door, with the Rock up! costing £12,980.
