Porsche Museum Treasures looks at the 911 RSR

Porsche Carrera 911 RSR
This new edition of Porsche Museum Treasures looks at the awesome Carrera 911 RSR model.

Based on the 900 kg lightweight 2.8-litre Carrera RS, the RSR racing version initially developed 300 bhp which climbed to 310 bhp from a 3.0-litre unit. It began its career at the 24 hours race in Daytona/Florida, and started very convincingly in the hands of the American private team Gregg/Haywood, who won unchallenged ahead of the prototypes from Ferrari, Matra and Mirage-Ford, and later went on to dominated its own category, the Grand Tourisme class.
