It looks like Porsche are already bored with the looks of their latest flagship car.
World CarFans are running spy pics of prototype coupe and cabriolet models this week, during testing in America. It’s not know whether the new Turbo and Turbo Cabriolet model will receive the makeover at this point.
There’s very little to distinguish them from the ‘old’ 997 apart from new headlights and rear light clusters. The front bumper is reminiscent of the new Turbo item, gaining larger intakes. The rear bumper is also tweaked, slightly.
Power remains the same, with the facelift 997’s retaining the current 3.6L and 3.8L units.
Why change a car that’s only been in the showrooms for 30 seconds? It’s not a Toyota Corolla…

Mercedes have introduced a new 5.5L V8 powered CLK Class model.
Power jumps to 388 bhp from last years 302 bhp model, which means a not too shabby 0-62 mph time of 5.2 seconds. This is over half a second faster than the 2006 model, yet fuel consumption remains the same. The mean people at Mercedes have limited top speed to 155 mph.

Judging by these high speed shots, the new Mini is just about ready for the road.
Due out within the next six months, the new Mini hasn’t been radically altered in any way. The main difference is a slightly longer body, new style headlights fitted further up the wings and a raised bonnet height (brought about by new Pedestrian safety rules).
