Porsche Offer 997 Power Upgrade
Posted 25th July, 2006 in Uncategorized | 2 Comments
Porsche are now offering a 25 bhp powerpack for their 997 Carrera S, taking it up to 375 bhp.
The extra power is achieved with the help of a new carbon fibre air filter housing, tweaked engined management system, ‘breathed on’ heads, a new sports exhaust system and re-worked inlet and exhaust manifolds.
The result is an additional 4 mph (186 mph) on the top speed and a few tenths off the 0-62 mph (4.6 seconds).
If you’re happy with your Carrera S, but you’d like to brag to fellow owners about your ‘whopping’ hike in power, then this is the kit for you!

I own a 997 C2S, standard model. Can the pack be retro-fitted and if so, whats the cost?

As far as we know, it’s carried out at the factory (before purchase) for around $16,000.
For that type of money you could get your C2S tuned by a company such as RUF and 9ff.
