According to reports, Bugatti is working on an extreme, final version of the Veyron to be unveiled next year.
The performance upgrade will come about thanks to the extensive use of carbon fibre in an effort to lose around 200 kg of fat from the regular model along with an increased capacity quad-turbocharged W16 powerplant. With a potential 1119 kW (1500 hp) and 451 km/h (280 mph) top speed being proposed, customers shouldn’t expect much change from £5 million.
“We are looking at several options. The reality is that we are not under time pressure because we are confident of selling out the full Veyron production run regardless,” said a Bugatti source.
