If you missed the return of Top Gear last night, there were one or two highlight, including a review of the latest Bentley Continental GT Speed.
But, as you’ve probably already gathered, it wasn’t a regular test drive by James May. No, Captain Slow enlisted the help of ex-MINI driver Kris Meeke to navigate the luxury tank around a Welsh rally stage – while James attempts to be his co-driver.
Propelled by Bentley’s glorious twin turbocharged 6-litre W12, which transfers 460 kW (617 hp) and 800 Nm of torque to all four wheels via a close-ratio, ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing the GT Speed to hit 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 329 km/h (205 mph).
The action begins around thirty seconds into segment three. Or you could watch it from the beginning ans see Richard Hammond in the stunning Pagani Huayra.
