Here are the initial images showing the John Cooper Works version of MINI’s Paceman model.
Essentially a two-door configuration of the JCW Countryman, we know that it will be powered by a newly developed turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder lump with variable valve control, developing 160 kW (218 hp) and 280 Nm of torque (300 Nm on overboost). On the road that translates to a 7 second 0–100 km/h time and a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph). A six-speed manual transmission comes standard with customers offered a six-speed automatic as an option.
Standard equipment includes a JCW-spec aero package, 18-inch alloy wheels, slightly lower sport suspension, uprated anti-roll bars and a performance exhaust system with chrome tailpipes. Moving inside, the cabin features sports seats trimmed in Carbon Black cloth – or optional Lounge Leather and red detailing on the door panels, dashboard and centre console.
