Waiblingen-based tuning specialist Lorinser has unveiled its latest program to suit the Mercedes-Benz SL 500.
Lorinser’s aero package consists of a wider front fascia with enlarged, meshed grille, side skirts, a boot lid spoiler and ventilated rear bumper with diffuser section. A choice of 21-inch alloys wheels are on offer, including the seven-spoke RSK8 and five-spoke RS9 designs pictured, while the ABC (Active Body Control) active suspension system is adjusted via an electronic lowering module.
Beneath the hood, Lorinser has reprogrammed the ECU software and fitted a performance exhaust system, which sees output from the 4.7-litre V8 engine rises from 320 kW (435 hp) and 699 Nm of torque to 390 kW (530 hp) and 800 Nm, resulting in a new top speed of 280 km/h (168 mph).
Inside, the company can provide everything from a set of floor mats or wooden trim kit to a fully reupholstered leather interior
