Senden-based tuner BBM Motorsport has created this Golf GTI project car to give an example of the wares it provides.
Beginning with the power upgrade, BBM tweaks the car’s ECU software and fits a REIL Performance stainless steel exhaust system with racing catalyst and Golf R style tailpipes, which sees output from the turbocharged four-cylinder engine rise from to 155 kW (210 hp) and 280 Nm of torque to 205 kW (275 hp) and 380 Nm. Other mechanical changes include a KW Clubsport suspension set-up and Stoptech front brake kit, consisting of 355×32 mm discs and four-piston monobloc calipers. The wheels are Corniche Challenge items, measuring 8×20-inches and wrapped in 235/30R20 tyres.
Visually, Black Gold Designs supplied the carbon-finished hood, sill trims, rear diffuser and mirror casings, while the body was transformed by CFC Styling Station with a matte blue metallic foil wrap and stickerbombed fender and rear VW emblem. Interesting.
