Auto Bild drives the mia electric car

Formerly the Head of Volkswagen’s Design Department, Murat Günak was instrumental in the conception of the Golf, Eos, CC and Tiguan, as well as the IROC Concept, which went on to become the Scirocco. But, since 2010, Günak has been the Managing Director behind mia electric GmbH, and Germany’s Auto Bild recently tried out its current creation…

The company began production in June, and has three models on offer; beginning with the mia, a three-seater, 2.87 metre long city car, with a centrally-mounted driver’s seat. Next, there’s the 3.19 metre mia L which seats four occupants. Finally, there’s the mia K, a 3.19 metre-long box van. Featuring just one seat, it has a cargo capacity of over 1,500 litres and can be fitted with an additional seat if required. All versions are powered by an 8 kWh battery, and prices start at € 19,500. We love it.
