Ingolstadt/Geneva, March 1, 2010 – Audi is working intensively to answer questions of future mobility. In late 2010/early 2011 the Q5 hybrid will reach the market, the first Audi with a combination of gasoline engine and electric motor. In Geneva Audi is exhibiting the A8 hybrid for the first time as a concept car: Its CO2 emissions of 144 g/km (231.75 g/mile) are the best figure in the full-size category.
The countdown has begun in preparation for the 2010 World Car Awards winners’ press conference co-hosted by Bridgestone Corporation and the BASF Group at the New York International Auto Show on Thursday, April 1, 2010. The 2010 World Car of the Year and the 2010 World Performance Car will be declared at this time.

German motoring show Grip reviews the 700 HP Gumpert Apollo Sport. Capable of hitting 62 mph in just 3 seconds and a top speed of 224 mph, Gumpert’s Sport model recently lapped the Nürburgring in an amazing 7:11.57.
Racing driver Stirling Moss celebrates his 80th birthday on 17 September 2009. He drove for Mercedes-Benz in one season, 1955 – an unforgettable year for the brand owing to the many, many triumphs. Though an accident put an end to Moss’ career in 1962 and he never succeeded in capturing a world champion’s title, he is regarded as a phenomenal driver. And to this day he sees himself as an ambassador of motorsport.
Brawn GP’s Rubens Barrichello took another slice out of team-mate Jenson Button’s world championship lead after taking the victory in today’s Italian Grand Prix. He led Button home with Kimi Raikkonen claiming the final podium position in his Ferrari.
The guys at WagenWerks have produced another great DVD, this time featuring the VAG-based show extravaganza that was the 2009 Worthersee Tour. “Once again, we traveled overseas to capture some of the best elements from this year’s event in a completely different style than last year. Rubens Barrichello took his first Brawn GP victory in Valencia this afternoon after a pit delay cost McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton a second consecutive victory. Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen secured the last spot on the podium.
