Bayern-based BMW tuner, G-Power, has released its Typhoon kit for the facelifted X5 model. Constructed from high quality PU-rim, the pumped-up body focuses on those muscular front and rear wing extensions, and matching widened sill extensions. The X5’s face is given a more aggressive look thanks to the new front bumper, which features LED daytime running lights and large air intakes, and the vented carbon-fibre bonnet. At the rear there’s a new roof spoiler, substantial lower diffuser, and twin, central tailpipes, which finish off the company’s stainless steel high-performance exhaust system.
The new, bulbous arches house G-Power’s own Silverstone Edition forged wheels, sized 11×23-inches at the front and 12×23-inches at the rear.
G-Power offers a power upgrade for the xDrive48i model; after bolting its ASA T1- 522 supercharger to the 4.8L V8, and adding a larger capacity charge cooler, output jumps from 355 to 525 hp. That equates to a 0-62 mph time of just 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 170 mph.
