Porsche Design has gone back to the drawing board for its latest timepiece, updating the original Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche-designed Compass Watch from 1978.
Whereas it’s seventies predecessor was made from aluminium, this modern-day counterpart, the P’6520 Compass Watch, is manufactured from lightweight, antiallergenic titanium and comes in two parts: the upper section is a SW300 Sellita calibre-driven watch with three luminescent hands, while underneath lies the removable liquid compass.
Strictly limited to just 911 units, the P’6520 has grown slightly in size, now 42 mm in diameter (up 3 mm) and 14.6 mm high (up 1.6 mm), and is fully water resistant up to a depth of 50 metres.
