Audi To Produce 500 BHP TDI Q7

Notorious diesel-lovers, Audi have announced a twin turbo 6L V12 version of their Q7.
The Q7 V12 TDI goes on sale in 2007 following its debut at the Paris motor show later this month. With the crazy oil burner churning out 500 bhp it’ll be the most powerful production diesel ever created (174 bhp more than the most powerful diesel engine to date – the 4.2L V8 found in the audi A8.)
It’s thought that this unit might even find its way into the R8. Audi chairman Martin Winterkorn has continually hinted that diesel power is among the considerations for Audi’s forthcoming supercar.
