Zytek Drivetrain for The Smart EV

British company Zytek have helped to developed the new the Smart EV.
Their drivetrain uses rare-earth technology, a DC motor and regenerative braking system to give the Smart ForTwo EV a claimed range of 72 miles.
Zytek stated “The EV provides all the safety features and dynamic ability of the standard ForTwo, but with zero vehicle emissions”.
Mercedes should have the Smart ForTwo EV leased out to corporate customer by the end of the year.
