Maybach has built a one-off model celebrating 125 years, and named it the Edition 125! Founded by Wilhelm Maybach and his son, the company was originally a subsidiary of Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH and known as Luftfahrzeug-Motorenbau GmbH until 1912. Of course, today, the brand is owned by Daimler AG and based in Stuttgart, but still synonymous with decadence, as this unique example proves.
Two newly paint colours have been created specifically for the Edition 125! – Tahiti Black and Patagonia Silver, while the grille is also a bespoke item. The 20-inch diameter wheels have been anodised black before having their faces highly polished.
The opulence carries on inside the cabin, with the hide receiving silver-coloured stitching, which is also used to recreate Wilhelm Maybach’s signature on the lid of the glove compartment. Other trim elements are finished in silver carbon fibre and black piano lacquer.
