Porsche To Skip 2007 Model Cayenne

Slow sales mean Porsche won’t be making any run-out specials of their pig ugly Cayenne.
Sales of the bulbous faced SUV are (thankfully) on the slump, with an almost 25% drop of units sold in the U.S., prompting Porsche to sell their existing models before the restyled version goes on sale.
“We have produced so many Cayennes that this will tide them over,” stated Porsche spokesman Bernd Harling. “We’ll keep producing the 2006 until the end of the year.”
Harling confirmed that Porsche will skip the 2007 model year because it doesn’t want “to confuse our customers with a short-lived or abbreviated model year.”
The 2008 Cayenne is expected to be debuted at the Detroit auto show in January.
Lets hope it’s better looking than its predecessor. It takes something pretty hideous to make the Hummer look good, but they pulled it off.
