Mercedes S Class Hybrid On The Way

Mercedes have come up with a greener S Class
The new ‘mild’ hybrid S Class from Mercedes will be primarily a petrol driven vehicle, with an electric motor kicking in to provide extra power when needed.
DaimlerChrysler R&D boss Thomas Weber, explained “We’re well on track and will bring a competitive concept to the market at the start of 2008”. So it doesn’t look like it’ll be too long before they appear on our roads.
The petrol engine powering the new Mercedes will run constantly, unlike full hybrids such the Lexus LS 600h L. The Lexus is seen as the S Class’s main competition in this sector.
Hard to imagine a mighty S Class breezing by, with the gentle buzz of an electric motor.
