If you missed last night’s Fifth Gear, here’s a piece which sees Johnny Smith and Vicki Butler-Henderson head to Castle Combe Circuit armed with the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG and Porsche’s Panamera GTS for a little shoot-out.
The CLS is powered by that delicious 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8 engine producing 410 kW (557 hp) and 720 Nm of torque, allowing it to crack 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, while the Panamera uses a modified version of the naturally aspirated 4.8-litre V8 seen in the S and 4S models; good for 316 kW (430 hp) and 520 Nm and a sub-4.5s sprint to 100 km/h.
