Porsche chose the Paris Motor Show to display an improved version of its Le Mans prototype racer.
The Stuttgart company returned to the prototype racing category in 2006 with the RS Spyder, which is now contesting the American Le Mans Series.
Featuring a 3.4L V8 engine and a six-speed sequential gearbox with three-plate carbon-fibre clutch, the new RS Spyder was built to be raced in the ALMS, European Le Mans Series and the 24-hour French namesake event.
