Life Ball MINI 2013 Paceman

2013 Life Ball MINI Paceman
Following on from last year’s offering from MINI, Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli has created a one-off Paceman which was auctioned off at tonight’s AIDS Solidarity Gala in Vienna’s Hofburg Palace for €150,000.

Based on a 135 kW (184 hp) turbocharged Cooper S model, the Life Ball MINI 2013 is finished in a special iridescent paint that shimmers between black and brown depending on the incidence of light. The wheels and roof are painted gold, while the radiator frame, mirror casings and light surrounds are gold chrome.

The theme continues inside, with the door panels, instrument binnacles, heater vents and horn push receiving a gilded surface along with gold thread used to stitch the quilted black leather seats, while the steering wheel and dashboard sections are coated in a more exotic animal print hide. Completing the look is Cavalli’s signature on the sunroof, headrests and sun visors.
