Modelling the SLS AMG Black Series

Here’s a new video from Mercedes-AMG that offers an insight into how the wide-bodied SLS AMG Black Series came about. The model is sculpted from clay, then coated in a layer of foil to provide the effect of the finished article.
Powered by a revised version of the regular SLS’s 6.2-litre V8, the Black Series has 464 kW (622 hp) and 635 Nm of torque at its disposal; enough for a 3.6 second sprint to 100 km/h and a 316 km/h top speed. Pricing is yet to be confirmed, but we’d be surprised if you saw much change from €250,000.
