CDC carbon fibre roof

Volkswagen Golf carbon fibre roof
Neuenmarkt engineering company CDC International GmbH has released images of its carbon fibre roof panel for the Volkswagen Golf V.

Using F1 technology, CDC scans the top of the car with a 3D laser scanner in order to create a CNC-machined replica of the roof to form the new section on. An alternative to carbon-look foil wraps, customers can choose between three different styles of weave. Pricing starts at €899.

CDC also confirmed that it can produce the panels, which bond to the vehicle’s original roof, for any model.
