Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet test by Fifth Gear

After almost ten years in the wilderness, Volkswagen’s Golf Cabriolet is back on the scene. So Fifth Gear’s Vicki, Tiff and Jonny put it through its paces to see how it compares to its rivals – such as Renault’s Megane CC.

The four-seater is equipped with a lightweight electrically operated canvas roof that can be raised or lowered in only 9.5 seconds. Surely that’s got to be louder than it’s glass-roofed competitor, especially whilst driving at 161 km/h (100 mph)?
