Motor Trend looks at the Pagani Huayra

Angus MacKenzie, Motor Trend’s editor-in-chief takes a look at Horatio Pagani’s 730 hp Huayra model. Powered by a Mercedes-AMG V12 Bi-Turbo engine based on the one found in the SL 65 AMG Black Series, the Huayra enjoys 700 PS (515 kW/690 hp) and 1,000 Nm (740 lb·ft) of torque, which allows it to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 378 km/h (235 mph).

After managing Lamborghini’s composites, Horatio Pagani established Pagani Automobili S.p.A in the early nineties. Despite being an independent company, Pagani has a close working relationship with Daimler AG, specifically with Mercedes’ AMG arm.
