  • speedART SP81-CR Porsche Cayman previewed

    speedART SP81-CR Porsche Cayman
Rutesheim tuning specialist speedART has previewed the SP81-CR program to suit Porsche’s new Cayman model ahead of its Geneva début.

Almost identical to its Boxster conversion, the aero package comprises of a lower front spoiler, rear bumper air outlets and diffuser section, a raised wing and carbon fibre side sections for the doors and air intakes.

Multi-piece LSC forged alloy wheels in a 20 or 21-inch diameter complete the aesthetics, while the ride height is reduced thanks to a spring kit or coilover set-up with optional axle lift system. Moving inside, speedART’s upholstery department refinishes the cabin in a mixture of leather and Alcantara.

Power upgrades begin with a stainless steel exhaust system releasing an additional 7 kW (9 hp), while the Stage One Powerkit, which sees the addition of manifolds, sports catalysts, an air filter and ECU remap, results in an increase of 15 kW (20 hp) and 25 Nm of torque. Stage Two includes further software tweaks plus a sound switch, netting you a 26 kW (35 hp) and 30 Nm hike.

Finally, there’s the bolt-on twin-turbocharger option, which adds 60 kW (80 hp) and 100 Nm at 0.4 bar boost.

Following on from the news of its R2 rally Concept, Opel will also be revealing an urban mini-crossover study called ADAM ROCKS in Geneva (March 7-17).

Apparently inspired by Parkour urban athletes, the Concept features raised suspension, rugged plastic bumpers with underguards, wheel arch extensions shrouding larger alloy wheels, c-shape front lighting and a rip-back fabric section running across the entire width and length of the roof.

“With even bolder design than any other ADAM, the ROCKS is an impressive demonstration of how much more potential for individualization our new small lifestyle car still offers after its market launch. It combines the toughness of a crossover with the coolness of open air driving,” said Opel’s Lead Design Director, Malcolm Ward.
