  • Volkswagen mama up! concept

    1_mama-up_c
Volkswagen has revealed a one-off concept of its up! citycar designed to make life a little easier for new mothers.

Based on a five-door variant, the mama up!, which is the brainchild of Volkswagen’s Czech division built under the supervision of aftermarket specialist Lexan Racing, has been coated in a white matte foil with pink accents by WrapStyle, while the factory wheels have been replaced by OZ Racing items wrapped in Pirelli rubber. There’s also a pair of headlamp covers and dual tailpipes by ABT Sportsline.

Moving inside, the cabin has been reupholstered in leather by Carlex Design, with a child seat, bottle holders and changing table allowing the driver to tend to their child while overtaking a juggernaut at 100 km/h. Probably.

Volkswagen is yet to decide whether it will see production…

  • Lamborghini Aventador produces flame-grilled turkey

    1_lambo-flame
London-based supercar aficionado Tim Burton has just revealed his Christmas Day cooking technique, and it’s not exactly conventional.

After borrowing a 567 kW (760 hp) Lamborghini Aventador from the guys at Oakley Design, Tim simply skewered his lunch on a pitchfork before squatting down behind the hypercar to create the flame-grilled bird.

We’re pretty sure it’s what it would have wanted.

  • Official Lamborghini Huracan video

    1-hura-screenc
Following on from three teaser videos, which revealed absolutely nothing, Lamborghini has come good with the fourth, releasing this film showing the new Huracan in action. If you can look beyond the abhorrent characters and pitiful storyline highlighting the fragility of Lamborghini’s security systems, it’s not too bad.

The aggressively styled Gallardo replacement uses an updated 5.2-litre V10 engine now producing 448 kW (610 HP) and 560 Nm of torque thanks largely to a revised injection system and software. With a power-to-weight ratio of 2.33 kilograms per horse power, 0-100 km/h happens in 3.2 seconds, with 200 km/h arriving in 9.9 seconds, while top speed is 325 km/h (202 mph).

  • DMC Tuning Lamborghini Huracan Affari

    1_affari_huracan
It may have only been revealed yesterday, but that hasn’t stopped the designers at Düsseldorf-based DMC Tuning from coming up with a program to suit the Lamborghini Huracan.

Constructed from clear coated carbon fibre, the Affari aero package consists of a front lip spoiler, side skirts, a raised SuperVeloce-style rear wing and more aggressive diffuser. Fingers crossed that faux roof scoop doesn’t make it into production.

The company has also confirmed that it will offer ECU software upgrades for the Huracan, leading to power increases of between ten and twenty percent from the 448 kW (610 HP) 5.2-litre V10 engine.
