  • G-Power BMW M3 Hurricane RS

Bayern-based G-Power has released details of its Hurricane RS program to suit the E92 BMW M3 Coupe.

The upgrade begins with G-Power taking the 4.0-litre V8 taken apart before reconstructing it with a modified forged crankshaft, reinforced connecting rods and forged Mahle pistons, taking displacement up from 4.0 to 4.6-litres. The company’s SK III ASA T1-724 supercharger kit was then added, along with a titanium exhaust system weighing 26 kg less than its factory counterpart, larger water and oil coolers, and a meaty intercooler.

Those changes result in a monumental 537 kW (720 hp) and 700 Nm of torque; enough for 100 km/h to appear in 3.7 seconds, 200 km/h in 9.5s and a top speed in excess of 340 km/h (211 mph).

Other upgrades include a Clubsport adjustable coilover kit and G-Power’s 20-inch Silverstone Diamond alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubber, while the standard brakes have made way for carbon ceramic items measuring 396 mm up front and 300 mm at the rear, gripped by six and four-piston calipers respectively.

Visually, the M3 Coupe wears a lower front spoiler, and a replacement bonnet and boot lid constructed from carbon fibre.

  • Opel ADAM customized by Valentino Rossi

The multiple MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi has joined forces with designer Aldo Drudi to create a unique Opel ADAM for charity.

Externally, the grey citycar looks like it’s witnessed an explosion in a paint factory thanks to the black, silver and DayGlo Yellow assault on its bodywork. Three wheels and the radiator grille have also been blacked-out, with one of the front wheels finished in contrasting yellow, while leather from Rossi’s sponsor Dainese was used to upholster the interior.

“How could I resist the challenge? The task was to invent a completely new car, and for a good cause. No sooner had I spoken with Opel than I was already discussing with Drudi how to design this special ADAM,” said the legendary racer.

The car will be put up for auction next month with proceeds going to the Meyer Hospital which specializes in supporting children and their families while they receive hospital treatment.

  • Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse ‘Meo Costantini’ revealed

    Bugatti Veyron Meo Costantini edition
Following on from the ‘Jean Bugatti’ edition in its “Les Légendes de Bugatti” range of six special models commemorating figures in the company’s history, Bugatti has revealed its tribute to Meo Costantini.

A close friend of company founder Ettore Bugatti, Costantini was the head of Bugatti’s factory race team for eight years and was also a driver, winning the Targa Florio two times in the Bugatti Type 35. The new ‘Bugatti Dark Blue Sport’ paintwork specially developed for this vehicle was inspired by the Type 35, while the fenders, front bumper sections, mirrors, doors and adjoining panels are constructed from polished and clear-coated aluminium. Notable features include Costantini’s signatures laser-engraved into the aluminium tank and oil caps along with a silhouette of Targa Florio circuit painted on the underside of the wing.

Moving inside the cabin, the seat centres, roof and rear wall are trimmed in Gaucho leather, with the side cushions, centre console, door panels, dashboard panel and steering wheel all coated in Lake Blue hide. Finishing touches include a carbon fibre rear box with Targa Florio’s race route picked out in aluminium, while subtle racing scenes and vintage car motifs have been engraved onto the door panels.

Using the 8.0-litre W16 from the 431 km/h Super Sport – complete with upgraded turbochargers, the Vitesse enjoys an elephantine 895 kW (1,200 hp) and 1,500 Nm of torque, rather than the usual 746 kW (1,001 hp) and 1,250 Nm seen in the regular open-topped model. The Vitesse was also recognised as the world’s fastest open-top production sports car after reaching 408.84 km/h (254.04 mph) at Ehra-Lessien.

Due to make its debut at the Dubai International Motor Show today, just three examples will be created with a pre-taxes price tag of €2.09 million.
