  • G-Power returning to Nardo with 610 hp BMW M3

    G-Power BMW M3
Bayern-based G-Power is returning to the Nardò Ring; the place where it recorded a speed of 333.29 km/h (207.10 mph) two years ago, armed with one of its insane BMW M3 Coupes.

While that particular beast utilized the company’s SK II supercharger kit to develop 425 kW (570 hp), this year’s weapon produces 455 kW (610 hp) thanks to the SK II CS (ClubSport) package, which also includes an optimized air intake and racing filter, an additional fuel pump and remapped ECU software.

Following a 1,500 kilometre caffeine-fuelled drive to Italy, the Ring will be attacked tomorrow. No, that’s not a euphemism.

Propelled by a 412 kW (560 hp) V10 powerplant, the current GT cracks 200 km/h in a mere 10.8 seconds, while top speed is an amiable 321 km/h (199 mph). A total of just 666 Coupe and Spyder variants were built.

  • UK gets the Audi TTS competition

    Special edition Audi TTS competition
Audi has announced that the company’s TTS competition is set to become available in the United Kingdom.

Built to celebrate 500,000 examples of the TT being built, the TTS Competition is available in Coupe and Roadster variants and exclusively in Nimbus Grey and Imola Yellow respectively, with a TT RS fixed rear wing, while the Roadster roof is available in either Black or Grey. Measuring 19-inches in diameter and shod with 225/35 tyres, a set of silver ‘Rotor’ design five-spoke alloy wheels complete the exterior.

Moving inside, there’s an Impulse leather package in Steel Grey with yellow edging and stitching, a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel and aluminum badges on the door trims bearing the words ’1 of 500?. Standard TTS equipment includes aluminum inlays, xenon plus headlights, magnetic ride damper control system and rear parking sensors.

Powering the TTS is the company’s 2.0 TFSI engine, which generates 200 kW (272 hp) and 350 Nm of torque, allowing the Coupe to crack 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds with the six-speed S tronic transmission (manual 5.5s) before reaching a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

Just 500 units will be built with 120 of those making it to the UK. OTR pricing starts at £38,860 for the Coupe and £42,320 for the Roadster.

  • Three-door Mercedes-Benz GLA imagined

    Three-door Mercedes-Benz GLA
Singapore-based digital artist and car fanatic Theophilus Chin has revealed his latest piece of work; a three-door version of the Mercedes GLA-Class crossover.

Mercedes has not indicated that it has any intentions of creating such a variant, but we think it could easily take customers away from Range Rover’s incredibly popular Evoque model, something MINI has failed to achieve with its awkwardly proportioned Paceman.

On a side note, if Mercedes is listening, we’d love to see a three-door A 45 AMG Black Series.
