    Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class by Brabus
Bottrop Mercedes-Benz tuning specialist Brabus has wasted no time in developing a handful of options to suit the CLA-Class.

  • Porsche 991 Turbo revealed

    Porsche 991 Turbo S
Finally, Porsche has officially revealed its 991 Turbo and Turbo S models to the world.

Propelled by a turbocharged 3.8-litre flat-six engine developing 520 hp (383 kW) and 560 hp (412 kW) respectively, the seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission sends power to a new all-wheel drive system (PTM) which utilizes an electronically controlled and activated multi-plate clutch that directs more torque to the front wheels when necessary. When fitted with the Sport Chrono Package Plus option, the Turbo cracks 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, while the Turbo S takes 3.1s, with both capable of achieving a top speed of 318 mph (197 mph). If you’re interested, average fuel consumption on both cars stands at 9.7 litres per 100 kilometres, which represents a 16 percent improvement of its predecessor.

Featuring a body 28 mm wider than the Carrera 4, the Turbo employs active aerodynamics in the form of a pneumatically-controlled retractable three-stage front spoiler and rear wing with three adjustable positions, meaning the driver can tailor the set-up to achieve optimum downforce for their environment, an example being that the 991 Turbo can lap the fabled Nurburgring in ‘well under 7 minutes and 30 seconds’, putting it in the Carrera GT’s territory. The company’s active rear-wheel steering, recently revealed on the 991 GT3, has also been added, which improves agility and stability by steering in the opposite or the same direction as the front wheels depending on the speed.

Notable features on the Turbo S, such as centre-locking 20-inch alloy wheels, full LED headlamps, the Sport Chrono Package Plus (incorporating dynamic engine mounts), and ceramic brakes, can all be specified as an option on the Turbo.

Deliveries in the UK will begin this September, with prices starting at £118,349 (€140,384) and £140,852 (€167,077) respectively.
