Kempten tuning specialist ABT Sportsline has unveiled its range of options for Volkswagen’s seventh generation Golf GTD.
The ABT applies its power kit, output from the 2.0-litre four-cylinder TDI unit climbs from 135 kW (181 hp) and 380 Nm of torque to 155 kW (210 hp) and 430 Nm. No performance figures were released, but they won’t be too shabby considering the factory car hits 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds and enjoys a top speed of 230 km/h.
Visually, the Golf receives a lower front spoiler with central lip, replacement grille, headlamp covers, mirror casings and side skirts, while at the rear there’s a tailgate panel and bumper apron with diffuser section accommodating the quadruple tailpipes. ABT also carries a large range of alloy wheels in 18 and 19-inch diameter, while the reduction in ride height is achieved thanks to a sport spring kit.
