Oakley Design Lamborghini Aventador LP760-4 Dragon Edition
Oakley Design has revealed the second of ten Lamborghini Aventador LP760-4 Dragon Edition models, this one owned by the boss of the Luxury Signatures dealership in Qatar, Hussam Maatouk.

Built collaboratively with Refined Marques, the Dragon Edition features extended front and rear bumper trims developed to aid cooling, a raised SuperVeloce-style rear wing and carbon fibre side intakes, mirrors and roof. There’s also a set of lightweight HRE Monoblock P40 wheels and exclusively numbered badging on the body, dashboard and sill plates.

The performance upgrade consists of remapped ECU software, a larger airbox and a titanium exhaust system that saves over 35 kg, which results in a pleasant 567 kW (760 hp) and 745 Nm of torque from the 6.5-litre V12 lump.

  • Audi DTM in slow motion

    Audi A5 DTM
2012 was a an interesting year for the DTM championship. Not only did BMW make a phenomenal return to the series, securing the manufacturers’ title as well as topping the teams’ standings with Schnitzer and the drivers’ crow with Spengler, but Audi had a real season to forget. With such a rich heritage in motorsport, we have no doubt that the Ingolstadt giant will return to its winning ways in 2013, especially with Britain’s brilliant Jamie Green joining from Mercedes.

Until the cars return on May 5 in Hockenheimring, here’s a slow motion video from Clash Production capturing the A5 Coupe as it slinks its way through 2012.

  • Volkswagen Snowareg beats the white stuff into submission

    Volkswagen Snowareg
Here’s a project carried out by Volkswagen Sweden, created to conquer the country’s harsh winters, while having a little fun at the same time.

Based on a neck-wrenching 4.2-litre V8 TDI Touareg, which develops 254 kW (340 hp) and 800 Nm of torque, the factory car can hit 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds. But that’s when it has wheels.

This particular vehicle features a rubber track conversion system, provided by the Minnesota company Mattracks, allowing mobility over some of the world’s most extreme terrain, albeit at a reduced top speed of 64 km/h.

“We can attest that it works perfectly on all surfaces,” said a Volkswagen spokesman.
