Powered by a tweaked version of the regular car’s 6.2-litre V8 lump, the Black Series enjoys 464 kW (622 hp) and 635 Nm of torque; enough for a 3.6 second sprint to 100 km/h and a 316 km/h top speed.

  • Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series music-free footage

Following on from last week’s reveal of the epic SLS AMG Black Series, Mercedes-Benz has done the decent thing and released a full-length video of the car in action – without the dramatic musical accompaniment. That means you can now enjoy the aural symphony provided by that 464 kW (622 hp) 6.2-litre V8 mill. Enjoy.

  • Porsche Cayenne-based Eterniti Artemis surfaces

London’s Eterniti Motors celebrated the opening of its new Park Royal showroom by débuting the production version of the Artemis Super-SUV.

Based on Porsche’s Cayenne Turbo model, the Artemis features a wide-body conversion using carbon composite panels to replace the factory items. The aggressive restyle includes a new front fascia with Jaguar-esque radiator grille, a ventilated hood, fenders, rear-quarter sections and bumper with colossal diffuser and twin tailpipes. A set of ultra-light 23-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 315/25 tyres, complete the look.

Moving inside, the cabin has been treated to quilted leather upholstery, stretching to the floor, boot trim and reclining rear seats, which can also be heated or cooled. Other touches include natural wood and carbon fibre inlays, lambswool rugs, a starlight roof lining, iPad holders and the all-important drinks chiller with crystal glasses.

Beneath the hood, Eterniti’s performance upgrade sees output from the twin-turbocharged 4.8-litre, eight-cylinder engine rise from 368 kW (500 hp) and 700 Nm of torque to 447 kW (600 hp) and 750 Nm; enough for a 4.5 second sprint to 100 km/h and a top speed in excess of 290 km/h (180 mph).

Pricing starts at an eye-watering £210,000.

  • Lamborghini Aventador Roadster roof installation

The guys from DragTimes were invited along to the unveiling of Lamborghini’s new Aventador Roadster in Miami, and managed to capture some footage of its two-piece carbon fibre roof being installed. And the company wasn’t lying when it declared that the operation takes just a few seconds.

Weighing just 6 kg each, the panels feature two pins on their leading edge, which sit inside location holes within the windscreen frame. Once in place, the sections simply clip into place. Very neat.

  • SEAT Mii ‘Miinx’

SEAT has announced details of a special edition model that began life as a one-off created by a UK dealership.

Tom Rawlings, the sales manager of Dales SEAT in Cornwall, fancied doing “something different”, so took a three-door Mii in Deep Black metallic and had a pink vinyl wrap applied to its bodywork and tinting film on its headlamps and tail lights, prompting a Twitter fan to christen it ‘Miinx’.

Being based on a Sport model, its specification includes the 55 kw (75 hp) 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine, 15-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, air conditioning, front fog lamps, tinted rear glass and a leather trimmed steering wheel and gear knob.

“We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the response to the special edition since we launched it. From the day we first parked it outside our showroom, people have made a point of coming in to tell us what they think,” said Tom.

Now available to buy, pricing starts at £11,500, with Dales promising to donate £100 to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity for each car sold.
