Here’s some footage from this year’s recent Eichenberg Berg Slalom event, held on Austria’s panoramic roads overlooking Lake Constance, which sees the cars timed over a slalom course running up into the mountains. There are some exquisite old school machines in action, but we’ll take the Minichberger Motorsport wide-arched Volkswagen Scirocco, thanks.

  • G-Power G1 V8 Hurricane RS in action

Here’s a new video from sport auto featuring the magazine’s test driver Christian Gebhardt at the wheel of G-Power’s psychotic G1 V8 Hurricane RS.

As you may recall, the conversion sees G-Power implant the 4.0-litre V8 unit from an M3 before strapping on one of its its ASA T1-523 supercharger kits. This results in 447 kW (600 hp) and 580 Nm of torque; enough for a 0-100 km/h time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph), although this prototype is limited to just 314 km/h (195 mph)…

  • Underground Racing Audi R8 GT

Underground Racing has revealed its latest project at this year’s SEMA show; an insanely-powered twin-turbocharged Audi R8 GT.

Already developing 412 kW (560 hp) from its 5.2-litre V10 engine, Underground Racing offers various options, beginning with its Stage 1 kit which releases 522 kW (700 hp) on pump gas and 746 kW (1,000 hp) on race fuel, while the Stage 2 version produces 634 kW (850 hp) and 895 kW (1,200 hp).

Things get really serious with the Stage 3 and Race Version kits. Both produce 746 kW (1,000 hp) if fed 93 octane, but when racing fuel is introduced the Stage 3 kit churns out 895 kW (1,200 hp) and the Race Version a maniacal 1,119 kW (1,500 hp).

This particular car, owned by regular customer Ray, features such goodies as race-spec cylinder heads, a billet race differential, quick shift and a MoTeC boost-by-gear system.

Visually, the R8 wears a matte body wrap and 19-inch HRE Carbon Series CF43 wheels wrapped in Nitto Invo tyres.
