From Fifth Gear, here’s our favourite wrinkly racer, Tiff Needell, in a KTM X-BOW RR taking on German Superbike champion Martin Bauer, who’s riding KTM’s RC8 R.
The 800 kg X-BOW RR, which has just completed a lap of the Nurburgring in 7:25.72 minutes, with Christophe Haase at the wheel, is propelled by a tuned version of Audi’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder TFSI engine, developing 268 kW (360 hp). But is that enough to take on the 184 kg RC8 R at the Red Bull Ring, which has 130 kW (175 hp) at its disposal?
