Richard Hammond’s condition has improved enough to allow him to be moved to a hospital closer to home.
The 36-year-old was transferred to the aircraft by stretcher, before being taken to a hospital in Bristol. He was clearly seen laughing and smiling as the transfer took place.
According to his consultant neurosurgeon (Stuart Ross), the hamster “has to rest and allow his brain to recover and that takes time. I’m sure that once that period is over he will be back to his old self.”
Great news.
