Volkswagen To Build Caddy EcoFuel

Volkswagen have announced plans to build a Caddy powered by natural gas.

Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge (Volkswagen Commercial motor vehicles) are developing the alternative fuel vehicle. The natural gas tank’s hold enough fuel to cover a range of 267 miles, and have been tucked away underneath the floor, ensuring the interior space isn’t compromised in any way.

The Caddy EcoFuel is also fully capable of running on petrol, and will automatically switch over from natural gas, if need be. The 2L 109 bhp engine, runs a high compression ratio, to burn the natural gas more efficently and automatically varies its ignition timing to suit the type of fuel being used.
