BMW gets MOG
BMW USA has announced that all owners of 2011 BMW models with the BMW Apps option will be able to enjoy MOG, the on-demand music service, in their vehicle.Available to MOG Primo customers, on a subscription plan costing $9.99 per month, all the user has to do is launch the latest MOG app on their iPhone before connecting it to the car. Then MOG simply appears on the infotainment system, allowing music fans to search through a library that contains over 13 million tracks, before playing, re-playing, or skipping through their favourites via the infotainment controller and steering wheel controls.
MOG also allows users to store the music on their phone, enabling access to songs – even when there is no data connection.
“The partnership with MOG is another great step for BMW Apps, as we continue to listen to our customers and work to assess, develop and launch the apps they want most more quickly than ever before” said BMW’s Rob Passaro.

Official: Audi R8 ‘Toxique’ by TC Concepts
Following on from yesterday’s preview images, TC Concepts has provided us with more information regarding its menacing ‘Toxique’ body kit for Audi’s R8 supercar.Limited to just 25 sets, the body styling program includes a replacement front bumper, side skirts, mirror caps, complete rear fenders with integrated intakes and flared wheel arches. Around the rear the new bumper, which lines up neatly with the wider arches, features larger vents with single fins and an aggressive diffuser. The twin 160 mm tailpipes complete the look.
As well as the kit, TC Concepts also offers a stainless steel cat-back exhaust with valve flaps, R8 GT LED rear light clusters, a raised rear wing, and a choice of H&R springs or adjustable coilover suspension.
Those substantial wheels are also TC Concept’s own creation, and measure 8.5 x 20-inches on the front and 10.5 x 20-inches on the rear.
Inside the cabin, there’s an extensive carbon fibre trim package which includes the sill plates, dashboard sections, steering wheel, seats, door panels and centre console.
TC points out that every part of the kit uses OEM mounting points and could be fitted ‘easily’ by any mechanic within two days. Prices begin at € 9,800 for the kit constructed from a glass fibre/carbon fibre mix, rising to € 16,800 if you desire complete carbon fibre.

Lightweight Porsche 911 by dp motorsport
Known for producing some of the most incredible Porsche vehicles for almost forty years, Overath-based dp motorsport has built this work of art to demonstrate its latest featherweight products.Starting with a 1973 911 base, dp stripped it back to an absolutely bare bodyshell before fitting the dp11 RS 2011 body kit. Constructed from carbon fibre, the kit consists of a replacement front and rear bumper, vented hood, fenders, fender flares, rear spoiler – and even the roof panel. Not stopping there, dp also fitted Plexiglas windows, lightweight lamp lenses and tail lamp holders.
Inside, the 911 is equally impressive, with the cabin featuring a carbon dashboard section, sill trims and dp 935 bucket seats finished in Alcantara and leather, along with an extensive, welded-in roll cage. Under the hood there’s a 70 litre Clubsport tank and strut brace.
In the rear sits a 228 kW (310 hp) 3.6 L boxer engine, which is fed by a pair of 50 mm PMO carburettors and mated to a G-50 transmission with a limited slip differential. Chassis upgrades include dp coilovers, adjustable stabilizers, and a 964 braking system, while those iconic Fuchs wheels are sized 9 and 13 x 15-inches, and wrapped in 225/50 and 345/35 rubber.
The result of dp’s carbon diet means that this 911 now tips the scales at 870 kg. Impressive when you realise that a standard car weighs between 1,080 to 1,335 kg – depending on the model.
