  • Porsche 911 GT3 by REIL Performance

REIL Performance has joined forces with MR Car Design to develop a range of tuning programs, beginning with this Porsche 911 GT3.

Remapping of the car’s electronic control unit, plus the fitment of an Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system – which weighs 15.5 kg less than the factory item, results in 335 kW/455 hp, slightly up on the 911 GT3 RS.

Chassis upgrades are based around the addition KW’s Variant 3 coilover suspension kit, which can be adjusted to find the perfect ride height as well as damping and compression damping. KW also supplies its HLS (Hydraulic Lift System) system for when you need to negotiate those dreaded speed bumps at the flick of a switch.

  • B&B Audi R8 V10

B&B Automobiltechnik, the Birlenbach-based tuning specialist, has created an upgrade package for Audi’s V10-engined R8 model.

B&B’s Stage 3 program involves a reworked engine management system, optimized air intake ducting, carbon filter and a sports exhaust system – for reduced back pressure, which also offers the driver a choice of four different tones – available via remote control.

Those tweaks see the R8’s output jump from 386 kW (525 hp) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft) of torque up to 449 kW (610 hp) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). On the road, the 0-100 km/h (62 mph) time drops from 4 seconds to 3.6 s, while the sprint to 200 km/h (124 mph) takes 10.8 seconds compared to the factory car’s 12.3s. Top speed rises from 316 km/h (196 mph) to 330 km/h (205 mph). The conversion is priced at € 14,950.

Other components available include a carbon ceramic brake kit for € 12,950, a selection of 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels from € 7,950 (Kahn RSV wheels shown), and a choice of suspension upgrades, ranging from a spring set which offers a 25 mm drop for € 998, to two sets of coilovers; a € 3,950 adjustable system and a more complex € 4,950 option, which B&B recommends for those wanting to set their R8 up for track days etc.
